Salix — a carpet bed
|
|
Salicylic acid, as in the painkilling and
anti-fever drug, aspirin, takes its Latin name from its original
source, the willow tree. Fallen willow leaves pattern a woodland
spring. But "willow" is also related to "wicker " and "witch," hence
the spirit faces under the cooling, analgesic waters. |
